DEER CABIN

"We had left a few days unreserved on our trip to the Chilcotin in early June 2017 and had the very good luck to stumble on Eagle Bear Lodge run by Dave and Jennifer Hemmings. Our cabin was rustic (others less rustic) and very comfortable with wood stove heater - it was cold at night when we were there. The property is situated on a lovely lake frequented by many, many species of birds (including nesting arctic terns) and animals. This couple runs wildlife photography workshops and has a wonderful stock of their cards and prints. We are looking forward to a book in the near(?) future. Because we didn't have our own supplies they provided good breakfasts and dinners. But most of all they were very friendly and generous giving us information about the area, wildlife, and safety tips (read grizzlies). We ended staying longer than we anticipated".  Henriette Orth and Carol Crabtree
